So I'm FINALLY going to get a vacation! I have been working at the same place for exactly one year and have not yet taken any vacation time. (I have not been "allowed" to take vacation time because there was no one one to cover for me/ serve as clinical back-up in my program.)
The bad part? I'm too broke to actually go anywhere! I've been living from paycheck to paycheck (despite the huge raise I got in the Fall). The loan payments have been killing me.
I do, however, need this time to take care of "personal business" I've been putting off:
1) Clean out this huge, disgusting mess of an apartment and clear out room for the new "resident." Yep. Will be co-habiting once again. Wish me luck.
2)Go to the DMV to replace my State ID. It was in a bag that got stolen LAST JUNE! Yes, have been putting off going to the DMV for a whole year. Can anyone blame me?
3) Visit my parents upstate. Missed both Mom and "Auntie's" B-days last month. I know they are all pissed about that. Ugh.
4) Visit
Radiumhead 's new apartment and my friend Cathy who just bought a condo. Sheesh. WTF? I think I'm always gonna be renting.
In addition to my "personal business" I have to find some fun things to do in the city by myself and/or with friends. I've been living under a rock for the past year due to my crazy workload and job-related stress. Have no idea what new things are going on.
Any suggestions people?
