I finished book 8 a few days ago, "Water for Elephants" by Sara Gruen. This one was HIGHLY recommended to me by several people, and I finally got around to reading it. I am so glad I did. It was not only an understated love story between a circus veteranarian and a performer, but also a love affair of sorts between the misunderstood elephant and said vet. Further, it was a really interesting and historically accurate glimpse into a 2nd rate traveling circus in the 1930s.

Book 9 was "Millions of Women are Waiting to Meet You: A Story of Life, Love and Internet Dating" by Sean Thomas. Raunchy or not, I just couldn't get into this one. His life is just so unlike mine and his attempts at comedy just didn't translate well (he's English, and normally I like British comedy, but this just didn't work).
