I finished book #3 today, "We Need To Talk About Kevin" by Lionel Shriver. What an amazing book! It took a little while to get started, but once it did- Damn!! It is written in the form of letters from the mother of a high school student who killed 9 of his classmates to her estranged husband. The last segment of the book has such a twist, though

I totally agree with you about this book. It was amazing, and once I got into it (which really didn't take very long--I normally have a "period of adjustment" with books) I couldn't put it down.

I wish Lionel were my friend. I bet she'd be awesome to hang out with, brilliant and funny and dark.

Have you read anything else by her? I was just gobsmacked by this and the twist when Eva goes outside after finding the breakfast dishes undone...

Its been so exhiliarating- As inspired as I've been by some of the books I've read lately, I think I may be ready to start writing again! I really haven't felt this way since I lost my mom to cancer in 1995, so its really quite momentous!
