I didn't like Hellboy when I first saw it, probably because I didn't understand his personality. I thought at first, this guy is boring. But then some fans told me, that the movie captured his personality perfectly from the comics. I re-watched it several times and decided yeah, this is a great movie...gotta love Abe Sapiens and Kronen :). And the fact that Hellboy loved Red Bull and cats...like me.
