Well, I had quite the evening last night.
I was online, late as usual, I've developed a bit of insomnia these days. I was reading some bad fan fiction, talking to the lovely Kiri, and enjoying a class of V8 Splash. Just as Draco proposed to Mary Sue, despite her being in Gryffindore, Joanna gets online. Thus beginning the following sequence of events. And I quote:
"im dunk" as Joanna so eloquently puts it, "and konda pissded"
"Uh oh" I say to her "What are you konda pissded about?"
She goes on to tell me that she's apparently made a bad first impression on some people, and she dosn't want them to think she's always wasted. We contiue to talk about a dream she had the previous night where we were both attacked by ghost, and also about A Cinderella story, which she thought was cute. I'm not going to fake an intial concern, I thought this was hilairious and had every intention of posted it all over the internet. However, then I had a sobering (no pun intended) thought.
"Joanna are you staying the night where you are?"
"noooooooooo" She replies. I ask her if she has a ride home. She dosn't. She assures me she's fine, but the truth was obviously otherwise. At this point I get a little worried. But hey, I don't drink, what do I know? Maybe the last 17 years of drunk driving adds have been hoax. I desided I best get a second opinion. But who? Who do I know that drink regularly, but I still respect? Andrew, of course! My go-to drunk. I explain to him situation and in Andrew's expert opinion, Joanna was deffinately going to die. I managed to get the name of the person in which the house Joanna was currently residing, and person by the name of Sid.
"Hark!" I thought aloud, "I know that name"
Unless Joanna knows more than one Sid (come on, what are the odds?) this Sid was the same Sid that Meg dated for a bit our Freshman year, and so therefore maybe Sonia knew where he lived. However, our lovely Ms. Hatfeild was either asleep or doing something else at the time of my urgent text message. I guess it was like 2:30 in the morning, but that's beside the point. I continue to talk to Joanna and try to round-about-ly get her to disclose her whereabouts, but no such luck. She left to eat a doughnut, came back for a little while, and then logged off for good. Obviously, I should have called her. This didn't occour to me untill later (I was paniced!) and my consentrated efforts where on trying to get Joanna in the car with someone not intoxicated so that I didn't have to sneak out of my house at four am. I was about to call Colin when Joanna signed off. I figured she had left because it was almost five am, and calling someone who was driving home drunk and making them talk on their cell phone didn't seem like the brightest idea.
But don't worry, I talked to Joanna today. She made it home just fine, and was remarkable perky for someone who had consumed the amount of alchohol she did less than 12 hours ago. She appologized for making me worry, and assured me she usually has a designated driver.
So, that was my evening. Soon: my tales of dermologica, reactions to Dream Street, akward sun burns, life after band camp, my review of A Cinderella Story, tubing the the Super pals, another harddrive bites the dust...And more!
Stay Classy. And if you're going to need me to drive you home, please give me an adress and about twenty miniutes to Map-Quest it.
