if i had a tv, i could at least watch the olympics, this is just depressing.

I have a tv, but no antenna and i can't figure out how to get the cable to work.
Granted, i got a cable, plugged one end into the tv and the other end into the wall, ran the channel set thingy and when that failed, gave up and went back to the internet.

don't you need cable service for the cable jack to work?

i have free cable with my apartment. i just don't know how to make it work and i hate calling my landlord. he makes me clean up.
