estrous cycles? they're real. the idea of humans as being just another animal has never been more vividly during this period. one would think that shit like this would be watered down by being sentient and rational. nope. it just makes them more depressing. or if not depressing, well, just plain bothersome.
oh, it doesn't help when one is alone, and one has fleeting Catholic guilt-angst or good sense that colors one's musings in a more complicated, murky shade.
this is when a little productive sublimation can help, but you are too lazy to get off your ass and do something, except for eat, sleep, and trawl for fanfiction about doctors with walking canes and fake pundits fellating bananas.
oh hell. but then again, it makes for good poetry. if one gets oneself to make some, of course.
