Dear Lumpy,
I can't believe you are a month old already. You are growing right before my eye and I can't believe it. The first words out of my mouth when you were born was "she's so tiny" and I was afraid I was going to break you, now you fuss and fight with me and it sometimes makes me wonder if you are just going to take off running. You grew out of your preemie clothes a lot sooner then I thought you would. They lasted a whole 3 weeks and now you are swimming in your 0-3 month clothes because we only have one newborn outfit. I think daddy is a bit disappointed you can't wear your "Daddy's little girl" sleeper any longer then you already have. The first two weeks were tough but we got through them and no one got hurt.
During those first two weeks you barely cried and now you cry in your sleep, although I prefer it when you laugh in your sleep. You went from eating for 5 minutes every 4 hours or so to eating for 15 minutes every two hours. I love that you are growing so much, but mom needs her sleep too! You are starting to pack on the chub and it is reassuring that we are both doing our jobs.
It's amazing how much you interact with both of your parents and I love watching you and daddy play with each other. You love the colorful painting on the wall so much I promised you I would put it in your room when you finally get your own room. Right now your favorite place is in the bed right between us and your least favorite spot is your carseat. We still don't know who you look like because you are such an even mix of us both.
Daddy can't wait until you are big enough to throw around and make you squeal like a little girl, and I can't wait until you are big enough to actually understand what is going on around you.
The day after you were born.
The day you came home (the only picture that showed your true size).
until next month,
momma
P.S. There is cat puke on your Social Security card and it's so my fault.
