It would seem that introductions are necessary. I am Professor Jones, your new Potions professor.
The rules are simple.
There will be no running, yelling or foolish behaviour in my class. Any will be met with strict repercussions. I expect you to work hard, study to the best of your ability and maintain a respectful relationship with myself and your fellow students. Anything less will be deemed improper conduct and will be dealt with accordingly.
Here are the following assessments which I expect to be bought to your next class, with no exceptions save those unable to attend class due to ongoing injury. If you can walk, you can write, with very few exceptions. If you have any questions pertinent to the subject of Potions you may direct them to me here, or save them for class.
First & Second Years
Read chapters twelve through fourteen of the prescribed text and have notes prepared. You will hand in your notes along with any questions raised during your reading.
Third Years
Study chapters thirty through thirty-two. Be prepared for an assessment in your next class.
Fourth Years
Essay on the dangers of substance abuse and magic. Pick a potion with positive associations and analyse all the negative possibilities associated with manufacture and over-consumption.
Fifth Years
A detailed analysis of your wand and its strengths and weaknesses in regards to potion making. Since you have all been practicing magic and studying potions for some time, I expect you to be well familiar with both your wand and its practical application in various fields.
Sixth & Seventh
As elective students your knowledge and efforts should be at their peak. I want you to propose a use for and outline early developmental ideas for a potion employing unicorn hair and gillyweed. You may not simply write an analysis of an existing potion. Seventh years must provide an additional scroll.
Professor Ise, I would also like to request a meeting with you. It would seem our fields of study are related, in some respects. I would like to gain a full understanding of your greenhouses and the plants you stock, as well as any you would consider adding to your inventory.
A further query; for how long and by what logic has a student been inhabiting the potions supply closet? This is unacceptable.
