Orange Juice, Book Stores and A Decent Looking Day

Jun 29, 2007 12:15

Aiden and I walked to the book store, which is about a mile from the house, actually we raced there, but he won cause he runs cross country and I haven't run in a few years. He thinks I should try out for the track team next year. I might do that. I'm at the book store now and its pretty slow. Bob (dad) owns the place, and to tell you the truth, it suits him perfectly. He's also from Oxfordshire, he was in the Marines for twelve years but he was discharged when he got shot in the knee (ouch). He has to walk around using a cane, and Aiden and I agree that Bob has a Dr. House complex. lol. The store is amazing, Bob hosts a story for the kids, and poetry readings for the adults he even tutors some of the college kids while he's here. Its a great place to just relax though. I'm working as a cashier, nothing fancy there. Aiden works next door at Ann's (she insists I call her mum) shop where she sells coffee, tea, sandwiches, breads, pastries, and salads. Aiden drives the little electric car and delivers to the medical offices near by. We're drinking orange juice on a bench infront of the stores now, just relaxing and enjoying that its not a billion degrees outside right now (a rare thing in Texas)
Mum is taking me to the doctor today because I can't hear out of my right ear (haven't been able to for a month) she also needs to talk to my doctor about the seizure medication that I haven't been taking.(shush!) Someone actually asked Bob if his ex wife let me come visit my dad for the summer, he just laughed and said that she did and that I'd be staying for my senior year. I can't believe how great of a day this is.
