Dean thought Bobby’s Halloween costume for the NCIS charity event was totally lame.
Though smart money had been that Bobby wouldn’t show at all, the fact that he made any effort at a costume was a considerable surprise.
Still, Dean griped that a flannel shirt, jeans, and boots wasn’t a “lumberjack” but more “Bobby on a Saturday”. He muttered that the costume needed high heels, suspenders, and a bra to make it a true lumberjack ensemble. Sam snarked that not everyone had a fetish for women’s under things, despite what Monty Python said.
Dean complained that if Bobby’s “costume” qualified as such then by the same reasoning Cas could wear his usual tan trench coat and claim to be either a flasher or that dude from the Highlander movie (though the highlander dude had a cool sword, and a flasher might mean Cas finally ditched that same suit he always wore)
Dean also thought Gabriel hadn’t put much effort into his costume either, seemingly grabbing up various items he must have had lying around. Gabriel was wearing green scrubs, a white lab coat, and a name tag declaring him “Dr Sexy, MD”. The “sexy” apparently was to be attributed to his open collar with displayed gold chain and faux chest hair as well as the worst fake mustache Dean had ever seen. Gabriel was also wearing cowboy boots for some inexplicable reason.
Dean had dressed up as one of his favorite movie characters, Clint Eastwood as The Man With No Name, whereas Sam had dressed up as Sherlock Holmes, complete with deerstalker hat, pipe, and coat. Dean sniped that it was just Sam’s “thinky pipe” from when Sam was writing his “novels”, to which Sam responded “Nice blanket” “It’s a serape!”
Their bickering was interrupted by Cas’s dramatic arrival. Cas was wearing black pants and a red velvet vest over a white shirt with flowing sleeves and a cravat collar fastened by an ornate broach with a ruby red stone. A long black cape lined with red silk flared around him as he walked. His hair was slicked down and his skin seemed even paler than usual. A single red drop fell from the corner of his mouth.
Dean thought Cas’s outfit was pretty good, and at least Cas was a “classic” vampire rather than a sparkly one.
