And yes John, you shouldn't make a man who can't fire a gun, can't run, can't turn his head go out in the field exposed. Maintenance, IT things like that are OK.
(I've been wondering if Harold will finally take the plunge and get John to teach him to shoot a gun this season. Being taken and traumatized by Root would be enough to make a gunslinger out of the mildest of pacifists, I would think.)
FInch did offer to try and do something with a gun in that one episode. Not sure if you should give an emotionally compromised person a gun. Having the gun and using the gun on a person are two different things. Even if he does get training and isnt too shaken up by his experiences to be too freaked out to use it, not sure if John would really want to see Finch going down that road

Of course, I dont see Finch meekly staying anywhere if he thinks there is something that needs to be done. Think he would just go ahead and do it.
