Wow, this was pretty good. Not sure if you ever watched Lost, but the idea of them being trapped and Finch having a well, a crazy plan kind of remembered me of Lost's 4 season finale, with Ben turning the frozen wheel to save the island. Yeah totally irrelevant, I know :P
So, anyway, are you planning to continue, or is this just an one-shot? Either way, I really liked it and thanks for sharing!
I had started watching Lost, then drifted away, then bought all the DVDs to catch up on the best of Ben moments.
Have a couple of blurbs for a follow up, but not really enough to string together yet even for one of my short stories. So may have a follow up in the future, but will probably take a while.
With Finch seeming to appear and disappear at will from the library, it was a toss up between the Wardrobe or a TARDIS (or teleportation, but havent gone that route as yet).
Went with wardrobe since in the Dr Who story I started they meet while John is still on the streets, so the "library" will most likely end up being Finch's favorite room inside the TARDIS.
Also Finch seems to be something of a clothes-horse and I could see him having an antique wardrobe.
Totally understand, I'll be happy to read more when/if you do write it :D
Not a Doctor Who fan, though I do know the basics of it, so I get what you are talking about. I've heard so many great things about it though, that I'm really thinking about give it a go.
oh wow Narnia never even crossed my mind when thinking about crossovers but this ...is intriguing :D If you're planning to continue this, and I do so hope you are, I will be awaiting the next chapter quite eagerly! :D
Have a couple of snippets for a possible follow up, but may take a while to come up with a way to pull them together into something cohesive. (dont hold your breath or you will turn blue)
Having spent the majority of the past seven years as a raving Narnia fan, and now having spent the past seven months as a raving POI fan, I have only to say that this crossover is nothing short of brilliant. Awesome idea!
I read all the books when i was much younger. Was glad the movies didnt turn out too badly and hope they continue with them (though not sure how well A HORSE AND HIS BOY would translate to the big screen. Maybe something like Warhorse but with more dialog? although i havent gotten a chance to see that yet. Heard it was good and a main character of that movie is the horse)
