so i'm trying to convince jeff to try camping. i hope he decides to. i was apprehensive of the outdoors experience myself. the closest my family comes to camping is under their l.l. bean beach sunshelter, 15 ft from the beach house.
of course i've never even taken on this endeavor. 5 days in the backcountry of cumberland island. beach, woods, hiking, wild horses. it could be awesome. we'll just have to be really prepared. i'm going to have to take my work-outs up a notch if i going to be carrying a 50lb pack on my back for the hike in and out. jesse is an experienced backpacker though so, i'm confident in his abilities to help us plan. i've just never been a day's hike and a ferry ride away from my vehicle. it makes me slightly nervous, but if an emergency arises -- well that's what cell phones are for.
i've gotten everything done at work that i've needed to so i've got the rest of the day to fuck around. i may drop out of work a little early.
