I'm not sure. Every once in a while, something like this will happen, like... Outside forces pushing on the City or whatnot. Talks about sacrifices, invaders from outside... Things tend to stabilize even after things like that.

I'm not sure that the Deities themselves have ever attacked so directly, though. And at least if people died, they were revived properly... In that respect, it's a fairly new move, yeah. Sort of scary.
