Most recently:
I finally finished my courses for the summer as of July 27th whoo!! And John Lococo, a teacher from the first semester asked a few of us to help him out with his landscaping business which was extremly awesome!! We worked on one private residence on which we planted over 1000 plants in several huge freaking beds and mulched (almost) the entire thing...with SHOVELS! GAH! Imagine trying to scoop up spaghetti with just a spoon!! But eventually we got pitch forlks from the neighbour and Sarah and I were able to do three of the large beds by ourselves in half the time it took to do the other three. (pics are waiting to be put on facebook of this job)

Last week we (and when I say we I mean Jesse, Sarah and I) were sent to a winery where we helped to move gravel, screening, a fuck load of soil by wheel barrel and move bricks/help lay them. Last week was probably the hottest week of the year and we were out there at peak hours. It was great though!! I'm actually missing the hard physical labour this week. I have this week off since there wasn't much work needed to be done. I'm seriously thinking of switching into Landscaping. I can't see myself in a greenhouse for that long and landscaping tends to be seasonal; perfect for the child who can't remain entertained by one job for more than a summer at a time. I like the outdoors, I like creating things and showing my hard work off to people who can enjoy it AND, it's a great freaking work out everyday!! Strong like bull I say!!

Um.. so I've just been a little bit everywhere with everything maybe I should explain what we were actually doing at the winery. As it turns out some kids from the very elite School of Horticulture had designed an outdoor Senses Garden for the winery complete with herbs and a fountain :P There are four main flower beds with plants that represent the four main types of wine: dark/aged red, Aged white/yellow, light red and light white/yellow. SO as you walk through you get the visual sense of the wines. In each bed there are a few tarcotta pots with different herbs in, each herb is suppose to stimulate the smell that goes with each type of wine. It's really freaking cool! so along with the flower beds we placed in there was also stone walk ways and a varanda placed over head and the walls of the surrounding building were also touched up but not by us :P PIcs will also be posted of the finished work on facebook. But really, you have to be there to see it!

This week I'm in hiding out in Midland whoo!! I've just been taking it easy, reading a lot and hanging out with the folks. We took a day trip out to Balsam lake! I haven't been there in YEARS either. Probably the last time I went I was 14. Anyways it was great seeing the area again. We went fishing and shopped through cobiconk at an antique store. Unfortunately THE antique store of Coby where we use to get forzen yogurt was transformed into a deli!! The fuck I say!! I don't even know if they still have the frozen yogurt *sigh* But yeah, we found another shop and it was pretty neat, not nearly as big or expensive as the other one hahah which is actually prety good! lol After the trip to balsam lake we stopped for an hour or so at Casino Rama!! It was my first time ever going into a casino and when I tried to get in the security guy wouldn't let me! Apparently I matched the exact description of a person who had been removed previously. -_- I showed him my ID though and swore I had never been in so he let me go! whoo! I didn't win anything. All I got was a buzz off a couple of extrmely expensive beers. Not that the beer itself was to be deemed expensive. it was just Canadian.. for $4.25!! gah! My dad won $9 though and got us some coffee. It was good times all around :P
