Rosie had emailed her itinerary to Kayashima the day before after she had changed her booking. The trip would be slightly more expensive this way but Jonna had been understanding. As eager as he was to see her, Rosie was glad he understood she needed to be there for her friends too ( Read more... )

"I go for work every once in a while." The little yosei was crying from laughter, she was having so much fun. Nothing really harmful happened, just inconveniences for those unfortunate enough to be passing by the pixie-like tyrant. People were stumbling, bottoms of bags would give out, small things broke...It was quite the scene outside the window but Taiki ignored it so long as no one was hurt.

"Really. I may have to put you to the natto challenge." A small, devious smile. "But you are right; there is something comforting about foods particular to your home."

Rosie's eyes started getting wide and then she started giggling. The chaos outside reminded her too much of the English humor and how much Jonna laughed at sight gags.

Natto? Rosie turned her attention back to Taiki curiously. Lotta food from home missin' when getta travelin' but I miss the oranges the most. My grandma has an orange tree in her yard an' get best oranges there.

Taiki watched Rosie out of the corner of his eye. He wondered just what she would think if he told her that the chaos was caused by a little 2 inch tall green fairy with giant teeth. A strap of a girl's top broke, a leak developed in a teen's water bottle, and another dog started barking and straining against their leash.

And the food came.

"It is fermented soybeans. I enjoy it but many do not. Mito is acutally quite famous for their natto, if you would like to try it. It is also used to make this soup." He began picking at the vegetables, noodles, and tofu in his bowl. "Oh? It must be nice to have fresh ones."

Rosie was still staring wide-eyed at the chaos outside. It made her giggle more because it seemed impossible that so much could go wrong at once.

I would try it. Rosie smiled and thanked the waitress when she brought the food. Ain't nothin' like fresh oranges. Might try and get some over here for ya. Jonna had me smuggle 'em ta England once.

The little yosei kept up the havoc, but Taiki's attention was elsewhere. He politely asked a passing waiter if he could please bring a bowl of rice and natto, explaining the situation briefly to him. In no time at all Rosie had a small bowl of white rice with a helping of natto spread over the top. It smelled something like rotting gym socks and was sticky like spiderwebs.

"I would not wish you to get in trouble for bringing them in."

Rosie hadn't been paying attention but she instantly made a face at the smell. Looking down she poked at the natto with her chopsticks. Instantly she was glad she hadn't eaten any of her other food yet.

Ain't too much trouble usually. She looked back down at the natto unsure if she wanted to try it now that she smelled it.

Taiki watched her, expressionless. He was curious to see if she would try it. "It is usually eaten for breakfast. Natto is very good for you."

"The officers at the airports do not take them from you?" Mmm...miso soup. It was good, but not nearly as nice as Shuichi's homemade stuff.

He had dismissed the yosei as harmless until a small child had tripped and skinned their hands. The little pixie covered her mouth, eyes wide, and glanced apprehensively at Taiki. So now, on top of all the other chaos, there was a crying child. He just sighed.

Rosie giggled at his comment. Ain't all the stuff good for ya nasty ta taste or look at?

Iffin' ya travelin' with a band lotta time don't go through customs. Rosie shrugged and tried the natto. Her face got worse. The texture didn't bother her but the smell. She ate the bite and frowned a bit. She wasn't sure what to think of this.

"Oranges?" Taiki watched as she ate the natto, sad to see her reaction. Too bad...He was hoping to have someone on his side to combat Shuichi's severe dislike for the food.

"Ah, that must be nice. No lines, no one picking apart your luggage...That is if you actually get it back from the airport..." He wrinkled his nose as the thought of air travel.

Mun cringes for Rosie!! DX!

Not oranges. Rosie looked down at her food. Iffin' I couldn't smell it might like it.

Rosie set the natto aside. She didn't want her stomach to get upset.

No lines 'cept all the fans an' photographers. Ain't mucha different in time sometimes.

OOC: aww . She's a trooper.

Taiki sighed. "Perhaps it is something one must get used to." He played with the vegetables and tofu in his soup, pushing them around the bowl. The chaos outside had calmed just a bit, the yosei being more careful after having tripped up the little boy.

"Ah...I am not sure what would be worse. Both are invasive, time consuming, and annoying." He stared out the window, watching the people pass by.

Lotta things I like ain't too many like it. Rosie watched him for a minute. Ya ain't hungry?

Depends on the fans. Rosie thought something was wrong and started worrying about Taiki.

"Mm. I suppose that is true." He looked down at his food. "Ah, it did not taste as good as I was hoping. I ate my fill." Taiki set his spoon aside so he would stop fiddling with the soup.

"I guess they cannot all be bad. Are there any fans that you see over and over? Besides the stalker ones, that is..."

I'm sorry darlin'. Rosie looked down at her own food an continued eating.

She thought about his question before starting to giggle. Lotta people goin'round sayin' I'm one-a those stalking fans. There are some we getta see lot. 'Specially in the states. Lotta fans drive all over ta see 'em. Same in England too sometimes.

Setting his napkin beside the barely touched soup, he pushed the bowl away and crossed his arms over the table.

"Oh? That is not nice." To the stalker comment. "That is very dedicated...driving long distances to see a show."

Rosie finished eating and smiled.

People ain't always nice. She nodded. Lotta people travel lot to see 'em. Don't think any of 'em ever traveled much as I used ta but some think do.
