i just saw ferenheit 9/11.

i don't care what views you have, this movie will make you want to voice them....which i think was ultimately the goal. Vote, make your voice heard that's what this place is supposed to be about, i promise it matters.

watching this movie broke my heart. there are so many people in the world who share so much in common; we are human; we love, we hurt...an iraqi was pleading for god to help her asking "why" and "where are you" when her family had been killed the same questions an american woman was asking when her son was killed there...both hearts breaking and both hearts wanting answers to the same questions.

this is exactly what makes me want to be involved in foreign policy/int'l relations, in the peace corps, as a tourist, as a student...but not with all that buerocratic bull shit. i just want to be like: cut the crap, we are human beings we MUST have some common ground, right? i know this is very oversimplified ( as i have learned so far from my int's studies class) yatta yatta yatta, but how much more complex does it need to be? really?
