I've been meaning to start an art journal ever since the new year started, and after reading Jason's most recent journal entry last night I decided that I'd finally start. It's too bad that I don't have a moleskine right now, but I didn't feel like waiting. So I did this in a pretty normal notebook thing that I got from Borders. I had to take out SO many pages though because they were hard to turn even without stuff on them. I took a few books that I didn't mind tearing up and used them for the background, and the rest is things cut out from a few-page add in a huge Vogue magazine that I got a long time ago. I broke out my ink for the splatters. (The bigger ones I "drew" to cover up splatters that I didn't like, shh.) I think it's a pretty fitting first page.

Today was the first day that I decided to start working on homework. Besides the weekend, last night, and a little part of today I've been doing absolutely nothing this break. I don't really mind all that much, I'm thankful for the needed lazy time. I'm not going to get it again for a while, I'm sure. I was supposed to go hang out with my aunt, but that fell through. So that's probably gonna happen during Spring Break. Hopefully that isn't a problem, though, because I know Mrs. Koelsch is going to get us AP Government kids together for multiple cram sessions. Blah, I can't wait until this year is over.
