This isn't the best I could do, but it works, especially since I know I should be writing more...

-After what feels like months of searching I finally acquired Grizzly Bear's Veckatimest from the library the other day. And of course it is just as good as most of the videos and songs I'd checked out had me thinking it would be - but there's something really excellent about being able to not listen to it while the creepy dolls exploding with light happen in the foreground. Of course that didn't stop the "Ready, Able" video from becoming my new favorite youtube moment.

-Has anyone else noticed how often Iz and most specifically his cover of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" has been popping up recently? I feel like it's been in every episode of America's Got Talent so far... which I am still compelled to watch, despite my numerous objections, example: I have decided that it makes no sense that acts which receive only two votes go into the next round, since as was witnessed last season they wound up having to cut hundreds of folks out anyway and the audition episodes are just their own form of strange, it should be a given that if you don't wow all three judges right out the gate then sucks for you. Also I dislike how often singers get the go ahead over comedians and god forbid a poet shows up. Not to mention how often little kids get a pass for being kids - that kind of shit is so tiring, upsetting, just plain wrong. Perhaps a spin-off American Kids are Spoiled Enough to think they are Talented Just by Virtue of Being Young is in order.
