A hand pulls away from the screen: someone doesn't care enough about Network devices to mind the "record" button. It matters more than one would think, though.

For an instant, there is a view of the City just at evening, as seen from a rooftop: the sun is glowing warmly cold in the autumn evening, tossing long shadows in its wake that stretch across rooftop and street alike. Lights are beginning to twinkle in the distance and shine gold through the windows. Steam is rising from this pipe or that rooftop against these lights, against the sun, like clouds. A flock of nameless white birds takes off, circles the building, and flies into the distance.

Ah, but wait: this Network device is still in someone's hand. That means that everyone can see what he sees: the edge of the rooftop, the street down below. It's a shame that one can't understand that he just wants to jump from the rooftop to the street. The birds are coming around again.

So (look: red sneakers), he stands on the edge of the rooftop to make his flying leap, when--]

♪ MMMM, WHATCHA SAAAAAAAY?
MMM, THAT YOU ONLY MEANT WELL?
WELL, OF COURSE YOU DID.♫

[The fall is more like floating, as the view of the City streaks down, rooftops becoming walls and windows, and all of it gliding by ever so slowly, falling up and away. Those namless white birds are all around, whistling and fluttering, even as the view from the Network device falls through them--]

♪MMMM, WHATCHA SAAAAAAAY?
MMM, THAT IT'S ALL FOR THE BEST?
OF COURSE IT IS.♫

[The buildings take on their height now, looming over the narrow street below, blocking out the setting sun, casting night early here in these corners--

--and, thud.

A shoe on the pavement, a few of the lowest parts of the gutter, a closeup of some gravel and paving stones. The street, seen up close. The birds are flying away in their flock overhead.

The Network device is turned over. And look at who's peeking into the Network device now, smiling a little.]

I think that song is getting a little annoying, don't you?

[Smile, smile, smile. And this time he bothers to make sure to turn the Network device off properly, and the image disappears in a--

--blink!]
