Having gone through college myself, I can say with full confidence that this list is the shit. Seriously, that's the best, most practical advice I've ever seen about getting through college.

I got stuck on several of those myself (like the advisor one - my advisor was never available and didn't care about what I needed help with...so I found another, and my life was immensely easier), but once you work out the kinks and figure this stuff out, you're going to enjoy everything so much more.

And I can't say how many times I looked back and knew that even though I HATED the class at the time, some of those tough ass classes were the best thing to happen to me. I learned more, it actually meant something, and I know that I'm capable as a result of them. Good stuff, those professors. They've got guts being that hard all the time and taking the abuse - especially the ones who are genuinely doing it for the good of the students.

But anyway, yes, yes and yesssssss. You should write an intro-guide for freshman at your college. o.o

You really don't know how awesome it is that someone besides me and my roommate actually thought this was a practical list.

My advisor is pretty much the king of sucking. He's the worst one in the Psych department and while I could have changed to the one Psych advisor I like, he has so many people I didn't want to get involved in that. So I just talk to him about it then go to my advisor. Plus, this far along I know what I need to do. I just wish I'd have changed it before, that's why that had to make the list.

haha That would actually be kind of amazing. I found a book kind of like that from the late '80s at a used bookstore not to long ago. Maybe it's time someone wrote a new one. Future students would thank me. ;)

Trust me, I would've thanked you like no other if someone would've given me this list before I started. Most of it I picked up by the end, but I could've saved a lot of heartache and headaches just avoiding a lot of that junk.

Even the relationship parts are very practical and needed. I think you could pull it off quite well. ;) A Students Guide to Surviving College - only with a much more clever title. XD

Julie actually came up with that part. I was stuck for a moment and she reminded me of some of our friends that we learned that from. It's probably one of the harder parts.

Yeah...since I'm so great at coming up with titles. Maybe it'll hit me at some random moment. Like making the list did. Showers are sometimes amazing places for ideas. Which sounds a lot worse than it should. lol Maybe it'll be titled like "Everything You Need To Know Outside the Classroom" or something...yeah...that kind of sucks. Oh well.
