I wonder what my coworkers (or at least the ones I've friended on Facebook) are gonna think about it.
And stubborn and muleheaded and un-adapting as my family members are, I love them, but at the same time I can't wait until they go home so they'll stop pestering me to wake up early and do stuff. Got pulled out of bed an hour early yesterday for that one meal, I had trouble sleeping last night and had to hit the ground running today in order to get all my errands run in time for dinner, and tomorrow not only do I have to be up at noon-ish for lunch with more family, but afterward my brother insists on trimming the wild ivy and honeysuckle around my apartment when it's fine right where it is. So I won't be able to take a nap. He's already borrowed the weed-eater and everything. This is apparently what he does when he gets bored. >_
Totally understand that one. While in some ways I'm a total homebody, I cannot wait to have my own place and not have to deal with my parents on a regular basis.
And the honeysuckle should be fine, but if you've got English ivy, that bastard will get inside and that's a bad thing. We wage war on the English ivy every year, and we're slowly driving it back. Mostly.
I scarred enlightened one of my managers with this tonight. He'd never seen it, so on last break I borrowed somebody's phone and showed it to him. He spent most of the song with his eyebrows halfway up his forehead (and he jerked backward more than once), and by the time the song got to the bridge he handed the phone back. The girl said "but there's over two minutes left!" and he said "I've seen enough."
