I'll simply say that terrorism of the form that recently occurred is hardly an act to truly scare the public. Lady's planning on a beach party. We're going to have all sorts of food, including green jello.

But I'm afraid I've been in a lingering bad mood, as of late. I don't feel like people around so many people. My apologies.

I understand, dear. I thought you might need some good harmless cheer but if you want, I could make up a plate for you and bring it around.

Food might help the mood a little. It's the crowd I'm not ready to deal with.

The party won't be for a week or more, dear, but if you're hungry now, I can pop on over with a few treats. I have some of those divine lady fingers from the bakery.
