yes, god loves all his children the same, but not
all of god's children are the same. if you do not
believe this, read numbers 12. again, god believed
in paul. paul was one of the chief enemies of
christianity, and yet god chose him. that is why
he blinded him and shook his world: because he
wanted that man on his side. no, hannah, he did
not need him; he needs no one. instead, he wanted
him. and that, ma'am, melts my heart.

again, god took special interest in david, my
personal "hero", if you will. he was a man after
god's own heart as god said it... just like you.

what's more, david was in love with god. in. love.
god doesn't need that, no, but he wants it. he
cherishes it. it is the reason we were created; not
to "obey" god, but to love him while he loves us.
all the silly rules are there not to please god,
but to protect us. and they are given to us because
god loves us and is trying to tell us to watch out
for the things that will hurt us, or the things that
draw us away from him... which hurts us so much more.

be of good cheer, little person. god chooses you.
it might be to accomplish something awesome that
touches many people, or, as you stated six posts
ago, it might be to touch and empower a family, as
my own mother firmly believes was her sole goal in
this life... and she has accomplished it with a
grace i have yet to master.

regardless of the outcome of your life, i still
think god chooses you for things that that other
people are seldom chosen for, though i do not know
what they are. furthermore, he has created you
with the ability to do those things. it might be
hard, but remember: "to whom much is given, much
more more will be required"... and much more
will be rewarded. (matthew 25:14-30 niv).

yes, you have a thorn and i know how it hurts, but
take comfort in the fact he has given this to you
because he believes in you, and that makes two of us.
