Kamina- Aniki is the best! He loves Kamina more than life itself. He's fiercely loyal and protective. Spoilers go here. I need to do a seperate essay on aniki. Filled with spoilers. Basically, Kamina owns Simon. And Simon owns aniki. They would do anything for each other. Simon loves having Kamina close by all the time and his favorite thing is knowing that every night he gets to fall asleep curled up beside him.
Yoko- The hard on for Yoko long faded so none of THAT anymore. He recognizes that she's beautiful still, but it's just...not like that now. She's a sisterly figure who he can count on to help him out, keep an eye on Nia, and also to yell at him. He feels very indebted to her due to SPOILER. And she can get away with a lot of stuff because of it. Yoko frustrates him sometimes because she is so >( about Kurogane. HE'S A NICE GUY SERIOUSLY. But so much love for Yoko and her big ass.
Rossiu- S..so confusing WHY CANT YOU BE CUTE AND LITTLE LIEK MEEEEE. Rossiu being seven years older is WEIRD. But Simon IS warming up to it. It's hard for him to see Rossiu as any sort of authority figure or adult though. Because to him he is still Rossiu. It's hard for him to take him seriously. But he's still a nice, well meaning guy, if not a little stuffy at times. Rossiu needs to relax and have some fun and also SLEEP ON THE ROOF or at least in Greed's old room. Since he's been upped to canon, Simon has noticed the change in personality and is very pleased by it. He's grateful for information about the future, even the tiny bit.
Nia- Love love love doki doki rabu rabu omg. Nia is everything there is that is good and true in the worrrlllddd. Simon loves Nia with everything in him. A love equal to that he feels for Kamina WHICH IS A LOTTA LOVE. The most love Simon can give. She saved him when he was at his lowest and he will never forget it. Nia more than anyone else--possibly even Kamina--believes in him. As long as Nia believes in him, Simon will push himself to accomplish anything and everything. Her trust is worth a lot to him. More than all that, she's just sweet, gentle, and kind. Being around her just makes him smile. Nia also ignites his protective instincts over 9000. If anyone ever hurt him in camp he would cut the bitch so fast he'd be five steps away before the blood begins to spurt.
Furry-chan Viral- Please to stop attacking me. Despite Viral's CONSTANT ATTEMPTS ON HIS LIFE EVERY TIME THEY SEE EACH OTHER... ...Simon still thinks of him in the same way Laharl thinks of Vyers. Midboss. O it's just Viral, guys. It's fine. It's not that he doesn't think Viral is dangerous. He acknowledges Viral as a strong opponent. But at the same time, he is of the belief that He Can't Lose. Losing to Viral isn't feasible to Simon. THAT ASIDE he wishes Viral would stop attacking him and chill out. He's actually interested in talking to Viral more--he can tell Viral cares a lot about the beastmen and what happens to them. These things concern Simon too and he'd LIKE to talk about this. He's also curious now to find out WHY BEASTMEN GOTTA BE HATIN ON HUMANS IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Li/Hei- Li~! Li is a really nice guy who looks out for Simon and dotes on him. The headpats and smiles really make Simon feel...accepted. Like there's a place for him even outside of the Gurren Brigade. He knows that something is WRONG!11 with Li in the head though. The Contractor stuff sounds weird and like it has a lot of weird beliefs tied to it. Simon calls bullshit on the belief that contractors are selfish, emotionless beings. He things Li's emotions are genuine, even if sometimes he shows them is repressed ways. Simon believes in Li and would easily rely on him for anything if he needed to. Likewise, he expects Li to use him in the same way. He's very willing to help him. ...even if he was the creepy contractor who needs lil' kid blood if it's you li you can have some of mine. :( but only some
Kurogane- Kurodaddy! Teacher of things! BAD INFLUENCE. Even if Yoko hates you SIMON STILL LOVES YOU. Kurogane reminds him of Kamina in some ways. The battle lust, the bluntness. Kurogane even moreso than Kamina says what he thinks, and Simon finds it nice. He hates being lied to, even if it's to spare his feelings. Kurogane being all >( doesn't bother Simon in the least. Part of this is because Simon is quite frankly RETARDED gotta recognize. The other half of it is though that Simon is very observant to how he's treated. Because of Kamina and all his headpats and hair ruffles, Simon reacts very well to those gestures and relates them to love and acceptance. So when Kurogane does these things, he sees this of Kurogane being fond of him. And Simon always gives back what he's given. He really appreciates being given the chance to train and wants badly to impress Kurogane.
Fay- Faymommy~! Mommy is kinda. Gay. And girly. But that's okay! Fay is with Kurogane, which gave him points to begin with. But Fay is very nice and always smiles and always has something to say. Fay also has a way of making Simon think. He doesn't always LIKE the things he is made to think of, but he knows that these are still things he does need to consider. And in the end, Fay always manages to make Simon feel good. He says the right things and he seems to care and even though his touches are a little Leerony he'll let it slide. It's nice that someone besides Nia and Kamina see him as someone who can do things on his own and gives him credit for accomplishments he'll usually attribute to Kamina. He likes Fay a lot! And thinks it's funny when Fay calls himself Mommy. And he likes being called cute, because not many people say that about him.
Mokkun/Touda/Bunnycat- SIMON LOEV. He's cute and tiny like Boota! But he can TALK! AMAZING! Simon adores him some bunnycat. He's just a nice little guy, fun to talk to, and soooo cute when you pet him. He likes being nuzzled and crawled on, so it's a good relationship to have! The whole thing with Gurren kinda ya know ATTACKING HIM doesn't faze him at all. To him, that wasn't the real deal. He knows that his nice bunnycat would never EVER do anything to hurt him and saw how bad he felt about it. So he holds no grudge and really is just relieved that the little guy is okay. Also: Bake me a cake tooooooooooooooo.
Brook- THE GREATEST SKELETON EVER. Sure, he looks scary. But talking to him is a BLAST. And Simon kind of gets a kick outta being called Master Simon. It sounds so fancy! And Brook is just a real shounen retard, Simon can GET BEHIND THAT. Basically he's just totally a member of the crew to Simon. Brook GETS IT. What it means to live life like a real man.
Konata- Is a nice if not BIZARRE girl. Simon can recognize her Kamina x Simon shipping JUST ENOUGH that it's creepy but not enough to stop talking to her. And she is pretty fun that besides. She says weird things, but everyone does so big deal. Also: SMALLER THAN ME. BOOYA! Aniki is convinced that Konata is GOD. Simon has just enough brains to be doubtful about that, but he's not sure what's up with her yet with her allknowing...ness.
Fuuko- So nice! THEY NEED TO BE THREADING MORE. She's another fun, sisterly kinda person who is just great to hang out with and do more normal things that Simon has missed out on in life. She totally needs to play with him more. Simon really likes being around her and also the fact that A GIRL NOT NIA OR YOKO DOESN'T HATE HIM!!!!!!1
Ikki- This guy is aniki and Yoko's and Li's friend! So Simon knows he's cool. SIMON WANTS A PAIR OF ATs VERY BADLY ACTUALLY. Because all shounen retards are required to want those, seriously c'mon. He trusts Ikki because Yoko and Li seem to. He doesn't think they'll lead him wrong. And Ikki is just funny HE WANTED A RIDE FROM ANIKI SERIOUSLY NOW. Ikki also teaches him WONDERFUL er HORRIBLE things and that's appreciated! Simon like bad influences. ...he may go back to ask about this apparent Girl Porn. with 100% less IKKI in it sigh. BOY SEX IS CREEPY, IKKI. WHAR R THA TITS
Gremio- We can has an adult! Simon thinks of Gremio as the greatest adult ever. Which is cool! Simon never really liked or trusted adults back home. In his village they were kinda dicks. And above ground adults never treated him like a child. So it's nice to just have this very normal adult having very normal expectations and treating him a very normal way you would treat a young person. Enough respect to make Simon feel good! But still a concerned, nice guy about it who feels kinda like an authority figure to Simon.
Other Simon/Simon Tam- Other Simon is soooooooooooo smrt. Simon is really appreciative of all the help he's given with learning to read and write. And the patience. The unending patience. Cuz he knows he's not a very bright fella. So he is very indebted to Other Simon. He thinks he's a really nice guy. And he also thinks Other Simon is really sweet to his little sister. lil simon thinks river is awesome btw \o/
Tamaki- gaaaaaaaaaaaay. gay gay gay gaaaaaaaaaay. Er. If Simon thought in those terms. Which he doesn't. So it's more like leeeerrrooooooonn. But only minorly. TAMAKI IS WEIRD. But at the same time, Simon likes him a lot. Tamaki is really nice to him and seems pretty concerned about him and Nia. He doesn't always LIKE THE TEASING!11 but can understand why he does it. Sigh. He's kinda amused by the way Tamaki does things and says things--when it doesn't confuse the hell outta him.
Leo- need to thread more. uwa. But Simon likes his furry friend! SO HE IS NOTED HERE. He also reminds Simon of aniki. He's loud and kinda demanding. YOU WILL BE MY FRIEND won him over instantly. It was a bit overwhelming but nothing wins Simon over quite like a very assertive attitude.
Chizunee/Aniki's Scary Lady- She isn't scary, guys. D: SHE'S VERY NICE AND SWEET AND CONSIDERATE AND NOT SCARY IN THE LEAST
Koutaro- IS CHIZUNEE'S FURRYCHAN :D And also a guy aniki likes to spar with. O aniki. O puppyfurry.
Urd- P-p-p-pretty lady. Who is nice! And pretty! She means well, although she can be kinda off track sometimes. Simon cannot say her saying she gonna TEACH HIM doesn't briefly lead to some inappropriate thoughts. :( He is fourteen, afterall. She is a little condescending sometimes, but it doesn't surprise Simon since he's very aware that there is a LOT he doesn't know. And also, she's kinda an adult to him. And he expects that from adults.
