Blown away - but need your help
We had the most amazing band rehearsal last night!
The new drummer is phenomenal! Plus he's a lot of fun. Basically he just set up the kit, picked up his sticks and slotted in as though he'd always been there. There's only one problem with him - he's English and his working visa expires in June. So unless he finds a company who'll sponsor him to stay, he'll have to leave in a couple of months.
So this is a bit of an SOS to those who read this journal in Melbourne who might know of a job that would sponsor a mid-twenties Brit with qualifications in music and post-production, experience working in mail rooms and hospitality experience. Does anyone have a lead??
He seriously wants to stay and I can't imagine finding another drummer who is so immediately perfect. We're recording in three weeks - trying to make the most of the limited time he might have left. We've even discussed the possibility of moving to England to keep the band together, and that's after a couple of weeks with him in the group. He really is that good.
Just think - find him a job and you'll be able to say you saved our band, lol!
