Some curious nut asked about the durability of hollow-body Gretsch guitars (like the Nashville or Tennessee Rose) on a guitar review forum I frequent. I was about to reply when I realised some cheeky bugger had already taken the words right out of my mouth:

"Don't bang it into a piano or a bus and it will last a long time."
