That was excellent. I love your characterization of Al. The Gryffindor/Slytherin bullying parts near the beginning were troubling without being overstated--well handled. I loved the scene by the lake with Al and Lily, and the impatient chessmen. You've done a great job of showing Al's frustration at not being able to do anything to find his father. I thought Lily's comment, about the family maybe being torn apart, was perceptive. Looking forward to chapter seven!

Hi b00kaddict! Thanks for the comments! I'm so glad you liked the chapter, and my dear Albus, too. (o: As nice as it would be if all the Houses at Hogwarts got alone, at last, I also think it's a bit too idealistic for the real world. But there have been some bridges made, and it's all quite a lot better after the Battle of Hogwarts. Still, some refused to stand alongside their classmates that day. And decades later, the further they get from the battle they fought, the easier it is to forget and to let old trivialities rule... (Sorry, I rambled...)

I'm glad you liked Al and Lily talking together, and the impatient chessmen, of course. Teehee! I'm so pleased you can see and feel where Albus is, in all of this, and even some about Lily, who've we not see as much of yet. More is coming, I promise. We're still sort of just beginning. (o: Thanks again!
