crazzzy.
the weather and potential flooding that can occur, that is. almost all of luzerne county (200,000+ people) is under mandatory evacuation. today is the first time in days that we haven't had one torrential downpour after another. last night my basement was a mess; you could have gone swimming in it. i tried to go to the giant to get food only to find it closed and the parking lot under water.
thankfully i don't live near any of the rivers. that said, i don't want to see what can occur if the rivers do crest over the flood gates like it's predicted. it's going to be one big, crazy mess. every local station has flooding reports on every two minutes; this lists all of the roads that are closed. insanity.
i left my cell phone charger in vegas. at least i think i did because i've searched my room ten times over and have come up empty handed. vegas is the last place i remember having it. so, until i get a new one, the cell is dead to the world. it sucks but at the same time, it doesn't. the people who i adore have my sn and house number.
i go back to school on august 29th. i come home from vegas on august 29th. should i try to reschedule my flight for the 28th or just miss the first day? i mean, i have 7 days left that i'm allowed to miss at school and i'm taking a pharmacology class this summer so i can always explain to mrs. noto in advance that i won't be in on the first day. advice?
