there is also a new brunch place and urban farms in mid-city now. stephanie lynn powell might not have left if she had only known, there would indeed be a fancy brunch place and farms opening up in mid-city in a couple months.
to my mind, it depends on where you're working, and if you don't know, city park where scott and eleanor are is the best. or mid city. i would advocate for bywater if they had a grocery store, but it's a large minus that there isn't one. the coop is supposed to open in 2010 on burgundy. maybe.
I love lakeview, but it is more like venetian isles or the east now. people let their dogs run wild in the spaces where the houses used to be. The birds are amazing here. I saw the biggest freaking crow today, it was like Raven himself come down to marconi meadows. a lot of the new places are fishing camp houses. there are multiple black families living here now, despite the efforts of the neighborhood association, which makes me happy. roberts and chateau cafe are great, there are many new cafes, but this place is the suburbs now if ever there was illusion otherwise. It is also full of ghosts, broken water mains, that that dread feeling that we'll never recover from the destruction. but at least it's not gentilly.
