you dont know how lucky you are
i'm such a huge sucker for depressing songs. i think i have said this many times but yeaaaa, it's not like i have ever fallen in love and been broken hearted but yet, i could just listen to them for hours. i have been listening to Keaton henson so much and he is really one sad dude. i wish i could give a hug and tell him everything is okay. his mvs are like a major cry fest. that's how you do breakup albums, angsty taylor swift.
the past week has been hella hectic and fun, i think i have been out everyday which was actually pretty tiring. i dont remember when sab and i went back to red point for vinyl shopping but we made a point to dress something related to doctor who to commemorate the 50th anniversary. after, we had burritos at the darkest spot of the restaurant (it was the bar area, i had to freaking shine the torchlight for her to take her instagram pic) and she was nice enough to make me a free cup of coffee at her workplace. actually she owed me ahah. if you are wondering, the burrito place was near her workplace so we went there to chillzz.
all act only la hor hahah. look at the sonic screw driver :D why do my eyes look closed.
lina and i have been going to this coffeeshop (twice actually) at bishan just to eat the kway chap and we had to wait till it's 8.30pm since that's their opening hour. i think it tasted like any other kway chap but i was craving for it therefore im willing to wait and we get to skate at the park so it's okay. the first time, we actually skated down a stretch at upper thomson road to get waffles and it was around 9+pm. it was so freaking fun. the second time, we went to this prata shophouse and the prata was actually pretty good. i swear i had to force the prata down because i was so freaking full. as much as i love these spontaneous trips, it is not helping with my weight, like i skate but i eat x2 more.
the waffle doesn't look that appealing and burnt but it wasn't that bad, it's banana flavoured but overpriced.
vinyl listening party at sharon or your house (i think u are my only reader ahah). it was sooo cool and fun and i love the spring roll and macaroni your mom made. yummerz. big thanks for putting so much effort in dye-ing my hair :D
went for the rws casual recruitment drive before the gig on saturday with lx. i only agreed to go thinking that their rate might be above 8 but it's just average. we looked through a few and thought that star guide might be the easiest in some sense and so we just tried our luck with signing up and went for the interview on the spot. lx was really desperate for a dec job anyway and wanted us to work together which obviously didn't work out in the end since im going to guangzhou and HK soon! yesss, okay i will get back to that.
we were asked to introduce about each other and lx was nervous i guess because she got like half of the facts wrong. tsk. there was also this popcorn maker who kept offering us cups of popcorn at the most inappropriate time (when ppl are talking to us about the job and just before the interview) but it was nice.
mac demarco gig after! it was probably the most chill gig ever because the club is pretty small and there weren't a lot of people so everyone was like hanging outside including the bands. even during the performances, all the bands were in the audience watching since there's no backstage. the sound was sooooo bad that i can't even. the feedback throughout especially and vocals couldn't be heard. definitely a place with freaking bad acoustics. despite that, i love how we got a free drink and have the perfect view. tickets aren't even $50. it was intimate and fun and mac is one crazy dude. screaming, shouting, crowd surfing which he was almost dropped hahah and i pretended to give support by holding his shoe. towards the end, people just got on the stage and danced their asses off to the house music. best last gig of the year! i think i have some decent shots on my disposable camera :)
and yeaaa, i will be flying off next week and it was so impromptu to the max. i dont have the time to be excited hahah and omg tigerair made me so pissed because they increase the price like stockmarket. $40 difference when i checked the prices in the afternoon and at night. ugh.
