Hello my pretties! How’s things with all of you? I’ve been keeping busy with work and the likes, which has actually been kind of nice, like I said last time, having a few bucks for myself is always a happy thing. It’s nice to be able to go and buy the things that I want and/or need when I want and/or need them. Well, most things. It’s not like I can go drop a bunch of money on a fancy purse or something. I don’t really get that shit anyway. What’s the difference between a purse you get that costs $20 and a purse that costs $200? The price? It just doesn’t make sense to me. They both do the exact same thing. Hold your stuff. Whatever. I guess I’m just not a very big girlie girl or whatever. Sure, I enjoy the occasional shopping trip, but not so much that I feel like my feet are going to fall off by the time I’m done. No, that is not fun in any way at all. Okay, I’m kind of just ranting about nothing right now.
Frankie and Peanut are getting along just fine! Peanut wasn’t too happy at first about having someone else around to get all the snuggles and attention, but he’s getting used to it. I love having Frankie around and I’m glad that I was able to give him a good home, but Alex thinks that it’s his turn to get a new pet. Mom’s trying to convince him to go with a goldfish, but I don’t think it’s going to work. I think a bunny would be fun, however, Alex kind of wants something that he can play with. Which Frankie constantly volunteers for, but I think he just wants something that is his. He keeps asking for a lion. Haha.
So one of my favorite things to make while I’m at home and snack on, and surprisingly one of Alex’s favorite too I think I’ve finally got him off of the dinosaur chicken nugget kick, are cucumber sandwiches. This is the recipe that I use, go ahead and give it a try! They’re so good, I promise.
Spread each slice of bread with 1 tablespoon cream cheese. On one slice of bread, arrange cucumber slices in a single layer. with oil and vinegar. Layer tomato slices and lettuce,. Spread other slice of bread with mashed avocado.
You can leave out whatever you want, minus the cucumber, of course. Otherwise you don’t have much of a cucumber sandwich, do ya?
