"I wish I had known we would need some before we arrived," Revan replies, looking the place over. It's like the Jedi Archives on acid in here... "Maybe we should leave a trail of string so we do not get lost." Yes, that is sarcasm.
"Good idea, take off your shirt and start unravelling." It's hard to tell if Carcer's being sarcastic or not because he starts walking in a random direction, confident in the Narrative Laws to lead him. Or just believing that whatever route he chooses will be correct.
"I hope you are being sarcastic, Carcer." Especially since Revan happens to be very fond of the dark blue outer tunic he has on. He follows after Carcer, simply hoping for the best. After all, the Nexus tends to put you where you need to be.
"Thank you." It's an official 'Republic' color along with silver, though ironically a lot of Dark Jedi wore blue.
Revan tries not to watch the shelves shifting, though he's very glad he wasn't hungry this morning. He decides to focus his attention on Carcer's back instead.
They're going to be eliminating for quite a while, then. Revan might pick up a book on religion or philosophy every once in a while and skim it before putting it back.
"It might help if we knew how you wanted to come back, first off."
"Well I'd prefer just to press the PINpoint buttons and find myself back home, but the portal is proving itself impossible to open," he says, annoyed. "Those might be useful," he adds in a less caustic tone. "Grab 'em."
He has a couple volumes tucked into his pockets, he won't make Revan carry them all.
He picks up the indicated volumes and adds a couple others that look like they might be useful.
"Please do not get snippy with me over a simple suggestion. It would help narrow our search depending on if you wanted to return as a mortal human, rather than some sort of undead thing."
If Carcer did make him carry them all, they'd be floating in a stack between them.
Well, that depends on the undead body. After all, there's the possibility of coming back as one of those zombies that lumbers around howling 'BRAAAAIIIINS', which would just be weird.
Hah except Carcer would be "YOUR MONEY OR YOUR BRAAIIIINS" which has the potential for hilarity. Except when he gets killed-killed. But it's Carcer so he expects to hold intelligence even in death.
"Have you been cut off from a home before?" He peers at a shelf, and looks up, then around for a ladder.
That would probably be interesting to see, actually.
"I never had an actual home, so cannot say I have been." Oh, is Carcer looking for a ladder like the one Revan is pulling behind him? He'd picked it up earlier because he thought it'd come in handy.

The bookshelves around them seem to be shifting. It may be nauseating if looked at too closely.

He doesn't know what they're looking for, but he knows what not to look for. So he's avoiding those. Process of elimination.

...as amusing as that would be.

Having a living body would be fine but having an undead body was potential for fun. :3

Oh you sneaky bugger. "Push that over here?"

"Oh, you want this?" He's like a boy scout: he always comes prepared. He pushes the ladder over with his shoulder.

Yay, ladder. Carcer gets a grip and starts climbing, peering at shelves as he goes. It's a good thing he's not afraid of heights.
