Some questions.

So I've been back home for a few days, and I'm really missing knitting my Scarf in the evenings. Over christmas, I managed to find a tennis sweater pattern which is really just a cricket sweater, IN DISGUISE.

I'll have to try to alter the pattern to one closer to what I want:

No ribbing in the actual body of the sweater, and it looks like a two by two cable cross over. After watching some videos on youtube, I think I can handle that. I hope. How many cable needles do I need? One for each cable that I'm going to do? Or only one? I don't think I ever need to have everything *on* these needles for more than a couple of stitches, right? I think I only need to buy one.

Looks like it's got a 2x2 rib on the bottom, which is different from my pattern. Do I need to do a 'tubular cast on' to do that? I saw some videos on youtube, saying that's the cast on to use for ribbing. Will it give a nicer edge?

I'm also going to have to find a nice clean picture of him without his jacket on, so I can count how many cables he actually has. I'm thinking... Six across the front? And likely the same number across the back. I know that he's got ribbed cuffs, looks like it's still two by two. But does he have cables down the arms?

Really, I'm just going to have to sit down and grab a bunch of screen caps. Unless anyone has any that are handy?

The pattern I'm going to be working from also has some ribbing in the actual body of the sweater, but I don't think I'm going to do that. Will it alter the tension to not have the purl every few stitches?

Cross posted from my journal.

Also, can we have tags for each of the Doctors?
