Open 3rd

It was a calm day in the Emerson-Briggs household, but Kyle wouldn't have known. He'd been avoiding his home for a bit now, waiting for his younger half-sister to forgive him. Luckily for Kyle, he'd gotten his own flat this past year, so he could focus better on his studies. His relationship with Mori was alright- though still a bit rocky, but Kyle was used to spending time on his own. He didn't have to like it, but it was an unfortunate part of life.

He exited his flat, heading south in his neighborhood towards the Brunswick, a local shopping centre in Bloomsbury, London. Kyle lived in a non-magic neighborhood, because it was cheaper, but he had his favorite magical centre just a little while down the road. (He had also figured he wouldn't be spending much time there, but relationships were still a foreign language to him).

The Brunswick wasn't too far. He merely had to walk three blocks before reaching it, and the stroll was comfortable in the rare sunshine of London. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a lemon drop and unwrapped it.

That's strange... it tasted like... Toffee? Hm! He looked at the wrapper, but it was the original lemon drop wrapper.

Turning a corner, he spotted the cafe that he and Mori usually went to together, and he sat down in their usual seat, alone.

It wasn't until he tried to speak his order did he realize what he'd eaten...

"A smaw buddah buh," he choked, trying to clear his mouth. A ton-tongue taffy! From the Weasley brothers? Only Amanda.
