Kyle apparated over, the gift in a little bag his step-mum had thrown at him on his way out. Remembering that a)It was a Muggle household and b)Tracey was supposedly sleeping somewhere, Kyle kept quite as he looked around for Avery.

Thankfully, Kyle had chosen to Apparate nearer towards his wing than anyone else's. He peeked his head out of his bedroom and cleared his throat.

"Hey, gift-guy, in here," he said, opening the door for Kyle to enter through.

Kyle walked in quietly, looking around. Good- his memory had served him correctly, helping him to apparate well. He always had trouble apparating to his own best mates house! It wasn't his fault, really, but it was hard.

"So, how's everything?" he asked, a smile on his face.

"Brilliant," Avery didn't hesitate to say.

"My parents seem to really like Tracey. Well, my dad at least. My mum is being her usual uptight self, but we'll see. How was your Easter?"

"It's going well. The family's really getting along great, as usual. I just have to watch for Amanda's usual tricks," he laughed lightly. "So, I got you something bad for you," Kyle laughed again, "I had to give them to you... I don't know why."

He handed Avery the bag.

Avery looked at his friend curiously. He hadn't gotten the boy anything, but he never had before. He peered into the bag, before looking back to Kyle.

"What's in here?"

Inside was sugary little duck, that he had charmed to quack certain phrases.

"I had to," he laughed, as Avery took it out of the bag. "I should seriously sell it to the Weasley's."

"QUACK! Easter greetings!" it quacked.

Avery merely stared at the little toy. His eyebrows rose and furrowed slightly. It kept squeaking out new greetings and some of them were rather funny. He couldn't help but laugh.

"Is this your voice?" he asked, after stifling a last laugh.

Avery had to cover his mouth to keep himself from chuckling as loudly as he was about to. He eyed the thing curiously.

"This is pretty much the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen," he told his best friend, laughing. "I love it."
