Gwenn really had nothing better to do with her time. She was obsessing about what all she'd have to change once her editor got things back to her, and she was just thinking about life in general. Amazing how seventh year helps put things in perspective.

She was dragging one perfectly manicures fingernail across the wall carefully when she suddenly heard footsteps. Who the hell would be out wandering around this late? Probably Riley so it wouldn't matter, or Jake...who she wouldn't bother to take points from anyway.

Then the sound stopped and she just laughed under her breath and kept walking until she rounded the corner and practically screamed.

"Gwenn?" Kyle questioned, shining the light up into her face.

[gwennie_doll]

"Holy Merlin, Kyle." The blonde girl finally managed to spit out, shoving her hair out of her face.

"You should blink lights or something before you turn corners."

[who_is_kyle]

Kyle laughed lightly, the though of blinking lights amusing him.

"Sorry Gwenn, didn't mean to scare you..."

"IT's okay." She took a deep breath and dropped her hand from her throat, releasing the wand she clutched in the pocket of her sweater. She hadn't even realized she was holding onto it.

"What are you doing out at this time of night anyway?"

"Couldn't sleep, so I thought I'd patrol," Kyle said with a shrug.

"I'm pretty much doing the same thing. Want some company?" Gwenn never liked to walk around by herself. She was far too social for that.

[who_is_kyle]

Kyle nodded softly, not wanting to be rude. "Thanks."

"Going anywhere specific?" She asked, tucking her hair behind her ears and bouncing on the balls of her feet for a moment.

He shook his head. "No, not in particular. Got any ideas in mind?"
