OMG Aunt!
I'm not sure whether this will mean anything whatsoever to those of you outside the UK, but the Beeb keep finding new and suprising ways of promoting Who, none more surprising than the announcement that:
The identity of the actor who will be playing Twelve's new companion in Series 10 will be revealed during half time of the FA Cup semi-final between Everton and Manchester United!
Which, given that I'll no doubt be watching said match and lamenting the fact that the rules of association football mean that only one of the two teams can lose, will make it somewhat more entertaining for me than it might otherwise have been.
News should be breaking about 18.00 BST tomorrow, then, on BBC One. Gary Lineker will no doubt make a droll remark or two. Should be fun.
Edit: And the winner is...relative unknown Pearl Mackie! Huzzah!
Which was of course leaked by the Radio Times and various tabloids yesterday. But still, that was one of the stranger Who-related things I've witnessed lately. Good times.
