Only kidding, I think. I'm sure you've all seen the momentous news by now; the king is dead (metaphorically speaking), long live the king!Well...two years from now, anyway. You might be right about Peter leaving, and I'm not sure I'd like a big reset as it was with RTD/Moffat change. I always felt we as the audience need some time to say goodbye to one Doctor and accept the new one, and that should be the topic of each Doctor's first episode. Both in Christmas Invasion and Deep Breath, we were allowed to still be sad about the previous Doctor's departure (however, I think it was handled much better in Christmas Invasion, as I didn't struggle with Capaldi's age which was always fine by me, it was his lack of general interest), but in The Eleventh Hour, we were just presented a new face and said "this is a new Doctor now". No reassuring words that it was okay to mourn the Tenth, a ten minute scene of throwing away food instead *eye roll*. I don't want the new era to start by pretending Moffat's era never happened, like Moffat did with RTD's era. I don't want Twelfth to be forgotten on-screen as soon as he leaves.

On the other hand, I'd like Moffat to have the Twelfth regenerate because I'm sure he'd make a huge thing of it, and maybe some Moffat fans would stop saying how terrible Tenth's regeneration was and how it was a sabotage against Moffat's new start.

I wonder, if Peter was to go, when would it be announced?
