Basically, Spoony has the same parents, birthplace, and surname as Ace, basically replacing her in the timeline. Just, he has a different personality and interests and thus grows up differently, becoming a jester instead of a waiter with a thing for explosions. So yeah, he's still born in 1970 because Ace was. Though you could easily create new backstories for them and have them be separate characters and maybe even separate surnames.

I haven't seen Dragonfire either (just the first 2 parts of An Unearthly Child, dunno if I will even continue watching it) but still.

You'd think Mel was between Dali and Spoony, assuming she is'nt switched with the Valeyard. I could build up a timeline.

Right, she might have a completely different life. Ian and Barbara would pretty much react like their canon selves do, with a dash of Tommy and Annika from Pippi Longstocking just as a married couple instead of siblings if that even makes sense? But yeah. Initially they think Ford Doctor is weird, then they realize she's just alien, and go on with their lives to become unaging badass professors and be replaced with Steven (who being from the year 3500 or something like that, I imagine he read a Wikipedia page about the Doctor that was up to date to the Davison\Fielding incarnation's travels with Adric, Nyssa, and Tegan\Geoff, and there he read that the Doctor had a companion named Steven Taylor and this is one of the reason he stowe away. He tries to not tell the Doctor about his future but sometimes it slips up. Well maybe not but I like to imagine that.) and then Dodo, Ben, Polly, are pratically the same. The Doctor regenerates into Hines!Doctor and then meets Sammie.

The Doctor changes by becoming less screamy, more brave, in a nicer and passionate way.

By the trial's time, it will be the Bryant!Doctor and she's not a teenager anymore. And anyways, remember that Ford!Doctor was older than Barbara (23) and Ian (28) combined.

Her life would be a bit different, but the TARDIS will still take her in about the same places and times! Or something.

Wait, are you the original poster of the AU on Dreamwidth?

I kinda want to create new backstories for them, though still stick with the main character traits. And I was referring to the first trial, in the Second Doctor's timeline. I actually think maybe you shouldn't draw up a timeline--maybe let people create their own continuities. Switching the characters' personality creates new oppurtunities for canon, and I feel that just making everything the same somwhat constricts that. This being said, The events should be roughly the same--the Daleks are still around, and so are the Cybermen (in the "Aldred meets Oscar" story I wrote, I mention Cybermen.)

But I like the idea of Steven knowing bits of the Doctor's history. And what if Steven reads how he's supposed to leave the Doctor...now that could be intriguing.

Edit: And I like the Doctor's character arc.

1: Yes, there's only one Kaiko Espurr Mikkusu, and that's me.

2: Same basic backstories (born in the same place at the same time with the same parents and thus surnames) but diff. personalities and fashion sense, and turn out rather different. They might not have the same jobs or social lives or whatever. So it's still possible for Spoony McShane's thing to be jestering, but he's still Audrey's kid born 20 August 1970. (Sophie, Sylv, and Tony Ainley were all born 20 August, too!)

3: For that, remind you Hines!Doctor is a guy in his (apparent) early-to-mid twenties (at least). He's not a teenager, not even Ford!Doctor was a teenager, she was older than 51. (Ian and Barbara's ages combined) - and that's more an Exile than a Trial.

4: Yeah, the enemies are still basically the same and have the same plots, most episodes are the same in fact. I have my continuity, you have yours. That story you wrote is'nt much diff. from the "original" meeting.

5: He propably does. He propably also knows Romana and Nyssa are gonna leave basically the same way (on a planet\spaceship to help a species)

You know how Adric was supposedly born in the 32th century, and since he's very young, it's propably still the 32th century by the time he becomes a companion. And that episode was suppose to be the same time as where Romana and the Doctor would be from, it means that if Gallifrey was'nt "timelocked" in the way that it's "everytime" so to speak, then Romana and the Doctor would be from the 32th century (AKA Doctor\Romana birth year + D\R age = somewhere in the 32th century) and he was 813 when he regenerated into Fivey. If I'm not mistaken that would be only a few years from when Adric entered the TARDIS. His birth year would propably be in the 24th century or-so. So it's likely from much further in the future from that, to read a wiki page about him and knowing they're gonna be a compaion, they should do that in the new series.

6: Yeah. She's growing up in a way.
