Doctor Who Children In Need - Xmas Special Preview [SPOILERS!]
In case you've somehow missed it up to now, HERE's a link to the Doctor Who Christmas Special preview that aired as part of the BBC's Children in Need fundraising telethon last night.
I post the link rather than embedding because I think there's at least one fairly significant SPOILER in the clip, based on the ending of Series 8. You'll see what I mean, I think.
I rather like the idea of vaguely sinister Father Christmas and his slightly menacing elves (and the thing about having to grow up and face reality is pretty funny). I like Nick Frost as a performer too - I think he tends to get thought of as Simon Pegg's less successful sidekick, which isn't really fair. Anyway, how is this going to play out? Is he a Time Lord? Elf on the right, btw, is Dan Starkey who normally plays Strax, here seen without his usual Sontaran makeup.
