As the world continues to brace itself for August 23 and what scientists are already calling Capaldigeddon, the people of Cardiff have been warned to be on the lookout for two unidentified Scotsmen accompanied by a woman who were seen bothering innocent bystanders and posing for photographs in the city centre. One witness reported that the taller of the two men seized a piece of paper she had in her hand and forcibly scrawled his signature across it. Authorities have warned that the gang may strike again, in London and also possibly in South Korea.

In the county of Cheshire, police are looking for a 35-foot high straw Dalek that used the threat of extermination to coerce a member of the public into holding an ice-cream in the middle of a field until it melted. A spokesperson warned people not to approach the Dalek as it may be dangerous, and also possibly a fire hazard.

National treasure BRIAN BLESSED has told of how he once considered forsaking his career as a mountaineer and raconteur in order to enter the medical profession. Unfortunately, his decision to enlist in the revolution against the evil Emperor Ming the Merciless meant that his dreams of life as a physician went unfulfilled.
