Another week, another couple of snippets of Doctor Who news you may well have already read elsewhere, and this week's Horror Channel listings. So it goes. ;)
Frank Skinner, it turns out, could find himself duplicated in plastic! No, not the Nestene Consciousness's latest gambit, but rather action-figure-related contingency plans. He would not be the strangest thing ever to be immortalised by Character Options. I still can't remember whether the "Let's Kill Hitler" playset was something real, something somebody else joked about or something I dreamed up from the darkest corner of my imagination...
TV's soon-to-be Twelve Peter Capaldi...assisted by some other chap called Pitt who I'm sure I've never heard of...
is doing his old alma mater the Glasgow School of Art a good turn following their recent fire misfortune. Good for him/them.
And TV's once and future Eight (I can live in hopes!), Paul McGann, has been talking to the Cambridge Union, during which appearance
he had some things to say about the casting of future Doctors. I'm with him.
Moreover, however, he let slip that
there is indeed going to be a sequel to the highlight for many of the 50th anniversary celebrations. Yes, The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot II: Reboot Harder. Or something.
I know that lightning doesn't often strike twice, but still I can't wait to see that if it's even half as good as the original.
Which if you haven't already seen, you really should.
And meanwhile, on the Horror Channel (Sky channel 319, Virgin Media channel 149, or Freesat channel 138)...it's only City of Death week!!
