Where "D" stands for "Doctor", of course.

Happy 50th Anniversary, Who fans, however you may be spending it and whatever you may be doing. Here's an excellent celebratory vid by YouTube user MysteronAgent:

It even has a David Collings moment for my associate lost_spook :)

Today's UK and US TV and radio:

BBC Radio Two, 10.00am - 1.00pm: Graham Norton will be hosting his weekly radio show live from The Doctor Who Celebration in London

BBC One, 7.50pm - 9.05pm: "The Day of the Doctor" (50th Anniversary special)

BBC Three, 9.05pm - 10.10pm: "Doctor Who Live: The Afterparty" (although I'm sure quite a lot of you will be online cheering/jeering/etc by then ;D)

BBC America:

‘Doctor Who:” The Eleventh Doctor Marathon Part 3: 1:00am - 2:00pm ET / 11:00pm - 11:00am PT

‘Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor’: Global Simulcast at 2:50pm ET / 11:50 am PT

‘Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor’ encore primetime broadcast at 7:00pm ET / 4:00pm PT

‘The Graham Norton Show’ with guests Matt Smith and David Tennant: 10:00pm ET / 7:00pm PT (I watched this last night on BBC One and it mainly served to reinforce my existing impressions that Tennant is genuinely a lovely bloke and Jimmy Carr is a bit of a @#&% :D)

And I'm sure that's not the last thing I'll be posting here today, the Day of the Doctor...

fiftieth anniversary events, television stories, fiftieth anniversary tv programming, doctor who actors, television, 50 years of who, tenth doctor, eleventh doctor
