Sometimes You Love Someone So Much You Hate Them
I had so much FUN last night. It was A-MAZING!! Jenna, Rein (pronounced Ryan, He's her boyfriend), Vicki and I went to go see the late showing of RENT...of course it was OPENING NIGHT so we waited in line to enter the theater and believe me it was WORTH it. RENT is the story of Seven friends, it follows their lives from 1989 to 1990. Of these seven friends, three of which have HIV, one of which has AIDS, two of which are gay, one of which is a Transvestite, two of which are lesbians, one of which is a lawyer, two of which are a straight couple, one of which is a drug addict, and one who was dumped by one of the lesbians when she WAS straight. Got that? Want an easier definition? Ok! BREAKDOWN!!: Seven Friends: Two Gay Guys (0ne with HIV, One with AIDS), Two Lesbians (One is a Lawyer, One USED to be straight), A Straight Couple (One of which is a drug addict, The other who's recovering the lost of an old girlfriend), and One Single man (who USED to date one of the Lesbians).
ANYWHO...the story follows them through one year starting at Christmas 1989, ending at Christmas 1990. This year is filled with turmoil, death, love and heartbreak. I won't go into detail for you because I don't want to ruin it for anyone. Just know that it is REALLY good and it is just a GREAT story and it sucks you in. I haven't seen a movie like this in a long time, one that moves me so much, I laughed, I cried, I threatened to punch Jenna in the face so she would cry too, I got angry, and I got determined to save the world from stereotyping or prejudice or homophobia. I dunno it was just A-FUCKEN-MAZING!!! I recommend everyone go see it. And FOR sure I will be downloading the soundtrack as I love it SOO much. So I "Hate" Jenna for the first time I've seen her in like a year I end up BAWLING...BIATCH!!!
