I'm sure that most of us would never run up against the clauses of the EULA (in Russian) that Livejournal is imposing, but the sheer tone deafness of how they did it tells me that they really aren't interested in users.

For that matter most of my recent activity has been on Facebook; Facebook is no where near as good for medium length postings, but it is where the activity is. And if you want to talk to people, you need to be in the room they are in...
