Help!

As you may know, in what I laughably describe as my spare time I like to do silly things in lycra. This year is no exception and the main thrust, if thrust is the right word, of my season this year is an Ironman Triathlon in August. I have literally no money at the moment. So little money in fact that it was probably a bad idea getting plastered last night and falling asleep and ending up god knows where and having to pay £40 for a cab. But I will make a note of this and pay you some cash when I have some. I appear to have become Jeffrey Bernard.

My cab driver had also recently separated. He insisted he'd never been happier, in a way that was massively unconvincing.

Well it was more of an exchange really. I gave him £40 for driving me home, and he gave me £40 for sundry other services that we don't need to go into right now. He went into them right then mind you.

So what you're saying is that you'd be quids in if not for the getting lost bit. It's good to have a vocational skill, even if it is 'sundries'.
