Help get out the vote on Nov 4th

Just Cause Oakland is helping folks get to the polls next week. If you want to step up and join the efforts, get in contact with them. Below is more information on how and when they need volunteers.

if any of you have time to give to help Get Out the Vote for this historic election, please join our efforts.  We also desparately need cars - to get teams out to precincts on Sun & Mon and esepcially Tuesday to help get folks to the polls.  They’re predicting rain and we want to make sure our seniors and disabled folks can have their vote count!  Here’s the schedule:

Sunday:
11:30am-2:30pm
2:30-5:30pm

Monday:
10:30am-1:30pm
1:30-4:30pm
4:30-8pm

Tuesday:
5-8am
10:30am-1:30pm
1:30-4:30pm
4:30-8pm

If you can’t join yourself (or can only volunteer for a lil bit), but have access to a car we could use, please let us know!  And please pass on the invite to anyone who might be interested.

Lastly, I want to extra plug getting to talk with folks in this election.  It’s truly an historic moment, and it’s been incredible to talk with folks in East and West Oakland about the magnitude of it all.  I strongly encourage folks to get some time in when and where you can - it’s one of those moments I know I’ll be talking with my grandkids about.
