So, Big Bad Pete is postponed indefinitely because the local supermarkets aren't going to get chestnuts in until the holiday season officially starts. Since I, like a fucking idiot, forgot to withdraw money for groceries this week while the bank was still open, I couldn't buy all the ingredients necessary for the next ice cream in line, Goofy Parfait. I had to skip all the way to the last one in the list, Daisy Sorbet. Daisy Sorbet is limited to Birth by Sleep Final Mix and activates the Final Mix-exclusive Rhythm Mixer, which is pretty cool!

I recommend Concord grapes because they're the kind most likely to be found in stores, but any wine grapes will do. (Table grapes aren't as sweet, so don't use them) If you don't have a fine-mesh strainer, do NOT use grapes. Any attempt to strain the grapes by hand will stain everything. Just use a small bottle of store-bought grape juice. For the mint, any type is fine, so long as it's fresh.

Ingredients for grape mint sherbet:

1-1/2 c whole milk
1 c heavy cream
1/2 c sugar
2 c Concord grapes, washed, and stemmed
1/2 c packed fresh mint leaves
1-1/2 c water
Combine grapes, mint leaves, and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Cover, stirring occasionally, until the grapes have released their juice and the skins are peeling. Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl. Add the sugar and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Whisk in the milk and heavy cream. Quickly pour the mixture into a 9X5 3-inch pan. Let stand undisturbed for 10 minutes. Place pan in freezer and freeze until firm. Break the frozen mixture into chunks. In a bowl, beat until smooth. Return mixture to pan and freeze until firm. Makes 1 quart.

In a bowl, place one scoop of ice cream. Garnish with two marshmallows for a bow and gum drops.
